Germany Ausbildung Programme

A Different Way to Learn. An Opportunity to Build Your Future.

What if you could learn a profession, gain practical work experience and receive a monthly training allowance at the same time?

This is what makes Germany's Ausbildung programme particularly interesting for young people looking to build a professional future overseas.

Ausbildung is Germany's vocational education and training system. It combines practical training within a company with classroom learning at a vocational school. Rather than studying only from books, participants learn by working, developing practical skills and gaining experience in their chosen profession.

The programme generally lasts between two and three and a half years, depending on the occupation and training pathway.

Throughout the programme, trainees receive a monthly training allowance under their training contract. On successful completion, they obtain a recognised vocational qualification that can help them pursue further employment opportunities.

At Preparation for Life Employment, we see Ausbildung as an opportunity for young Pakistanis who are willing to learn, work hard and invest in their future.

Our role is to help candidates understand the programme, assess their suitability and guide them through the various stages of the application and preparation process.

Why Consider Ausbildung?

  • Learn While You Work

One of the biggest advantages of Ausbildung is the combination of classroom education and practical workplace experience. You learn a profession while working alongside experienced people in your chosen field.

  • Earn During Your Training

Unlike many traditional study programmes, Ausbildung trainees receive a monthly training allowance. The amount depends on the occupation, employer, training year and contract.

  • Gain a Recognised Qualification

Successful completion of the programme leads to a recognised German vocational qualification, providing a foundation for professional development.

  • Develop Professional and Language Skills

Living and training in Germany provides an opportunity to improve your German language skills, understand a different working culture and develop greater independence.

  • Explore Long-Term Career Opportunities

After successfully completing Ausbildung, candidates may have the opportunity to continue working in Germany in their trained profession, subject to employment opportunities and the relevant immigration requirements.

Who Is Ausbildung For?

Our Ausbildung pathway is primarily designed for young candidates between 18 and 26 years of age, with educational backgrounds ranging from Matric to intermediate and higher qualifications.

You do not necessarily need an extensive professional background to get started. What matters is your willingness to learn, commitment to the training programme and ability to adapt to a new environment.

However, candidates should understand that Ausbildung requires dedication. It is a combination of work and study, and participants are expected to take responsibility for their training, learning and professional development.

German language proficiency is also an important part of the journey. Candidates need to prepare themselves linguistically before progressing towards a suitable training opportunity. The required level depends on the employer, occupation and visa requirements.

How Preparation for Life Supports You

We understand that for most candidates and their families, the Ausbildung process may be unfamiliar. There are several stages to complete, and knowing where to start can sometimes be difficult.

This is where we come in.

  1. Initial Assessment and Counselling

We begin with a conversation about your education, age, interests and future plans. This helps us understand whether Ausbildung is a suitable pathway for you.

  2. Career and Training Guidance

We help candidates understand the different vocational training options and explore pathways that may match their interests and background.

  3. German Language Preparation

Learning German is an essential part of preparing for life and work in Germany. We guide candidates on the language requirements and the preparation needed for their chosen pathway.

  4. Profile and CV Preparation

We help candidates prepare their professional profiles and CVs for presentation to potential German training employers.

  5. Applications and Employer Engagement

Suitable profiles are put forward for relevant training opportunities, subject to employer requirements and availability.

  6. Interview Preparation

We help candidates prepare for employer interviews, understand expectations and communicate their motivation and interest in the chosen profession.

  7. Training Contract and Documentation

Once an employer makes an offer, we guide candidates through the relevant contract, documentation and procedural requirements.

  8. Visa and Pre-Departure Guidance

We provide guidance on preparing the required visa documentation and practical arrangements before departure.

More Than Just Getting to Germany

We believe candidates should understand what they are signing up for before starting this journey.

Ausbildung requires commitment, hard work, language development and the ability to adjust to a different culture and working environment. It is not a shortcut to employment or permanent residency.

For the right candidate, however, it can be a valuable opportunity to gain a professional qualification, develop independence and work towards a long-term career in Germany.

At Preparation for Life, we want our candidates to be prepared not only for the application process but also for the responsibilities and opportunities that come with living and training abroad.

Training placements, employer selection, training allowances and visa approvals are subject to individual eligibility, employer agreements and applicable German regulations.
