Dear reader,
As I sit writing this open letter, it is early October 2025. In less than two weeks time, I will have been running this business for 28 years – firstly as Lawrie Green Education (LGE), then as PFL and more recently in the full form of that, Preparation For Life. I like using the full form of the name because it accurately depicts what we are here to do for you as a student (or what we intend to help with for your child if you are a parent or sponsor reading this). I have been in the industry nearly 30 years in total and my company has been pioneers for our industry in so many different ways over several continents and over several decades. BUT we are not done with our pioneering just yet!
This iteration of the business is the one I am most comfortable with. Let me explain why: - We have a centralised conversion team who are experienced and accountable for extremely high service and conversion rates. - We have dedicated counsellors who are only there to talk about your specific needs and will work with you to consider bespoke education solutions that matter the most to you and your family. - We do not expect you to be sitting conveniently near a Preparation For Life office. Our team helps you from the comfort of your own living room. So long as you have access to the internet, we can and will help you with your education needs. - We do not limit ourselves to any particular study arrival point – either individual institution or indeed, study destination country. We have huge amounts of experience of working with lots of both but we are constantly on the look out for more information and for us to be able to pass on great opportunities to our students, wherever those opportunities may be so long as they are in the best interests of our students. Our slogan was carefully selected. - We ‘PLACE STUDENTS FIRST’ In order to be able to say this honestly, we have stopped accepting ANY direct institutional marketing support (though we are happy for institutions to offer course information for this website in case you were wondering!) We expect to stand on our own two feet and we do this best by providing YOU with first class service that you can count upon with ease and very comfortable access. In short, our job is to work with each student to determine what are YOUR primary requirements and offer solutions that we think best fit those requirements, whilst telling you WHY we feel the solution works best in your case. As a company and as an individual, our message is a simple one: we are here to serve individuals, communities, countries and the educational world. I stand ready to serve YOU.
